Most homeowners picture a mini-split outdoor unit on its own 230V whip. On many Confortotal 115V / 110–120V single-zone kits—especially the popular 12k class—that is not how the power path works.
The system is fed from the indoor side. You put the indoor head on a grounded wall plug / receptacle circuit. Line-voltage travels with the interconnect to the outdoor condenser. The outdoor unit does not need its own separate 230V circuit run for these 115V models.
Specs from the Confortotal 12k 115V listing
- Rated current about 9.1A cooling / 9.2A heating
- About 1040W input on the published sheet
Those numbers sit comfortably under a standard 15A breaker when the circuit is dedicated. Still verify the nameplate MCA / MOCP on the exact crate Marty has on the floor at 1292 Center Star Rd, Columbia, TN 38401—nameplates win over catalog copy.
What “dedicated 15A 115V” means here
Plan on a dedicated grounded 15A 115V circuit (or whatever the crate nameplate MCA/MOCP requires) for that indoor receptacle. Do not share a bedroom lamp outlet, a shared multi-appliance receptacle, or a daisy-chained room circuit. A mini split is continuous load equipment; sharing is how you trip breakers and cook cords.
